Exercise - An important part of Maintaining a Healthy Lifestyle
Exercise can sometimes be difficult to get in do to our busy busy schedules. Exercise doesn't have to be a huge planned out event where you get in all your exercise clothes, go down to the gym and workout for an hour. If exercise hasn't been a big part of your life, start off simple. Simple can mean, parking your car further away from stores, or taking the stairs instead of the elevator or carrying out your groceries to your car instead of using a cart. One thing I love to do is play with my nieces and nephews. I use their body weight to build muscle for me and for them I create a fun activity for them.
If all you can do is 3-5 minutes a day.. jump in place or walk briskly in place. If you are at a different level and feel you can incorporate more than do it. I know for me when I go running, it's time for me to listen to inspirational music or books on audio. I not only am exercising my body, I am also exercising my mind.
The idea of this is to get MOVING.
Recently I have been trying out yoga. This is another great low impact exercise that can also help you find balance in your life. There are all kinds of yoga as well as different levels. The key here is get moving doing something you love. I also love to go hiking and be in the outdoors. When you find something that you really love, it just comes natural for you to make that a priority.
